Congradulations to all my 2007 hunters on a GREAT seasion! 2007 was a busy season with plenty of bears and lots of opportunities at big bears. The hunter success rate for this season was 119%.

This includes 56 boars and 18 sows harvested and 25 bears "fired at" out of 83 bear hunters.

The largest bear of the year was taken by Roger Smith. The bear broke the scale AND the pole! We estimated the bear at 450+ pounds. Roger harvested this bear with his bow. Congratulations Roger!

The second largest bear was taken by Fred Andris. It weighed in at 430 pounds. This bear was taken with a gun. Nce job Fred!!!

In third place was Mike Ryan. Mike arrowed a 425 pound boar on the second night of his hunt. Congratulations to you Mike!

The only other bear over 400 pounds was harvested by George Duckworth. George missed this bear on the first night but made no mistake the second night. It weighed 405 pounds. Good job George!!

In total we had 4 bears over 400, 11 bears over 300, 35 bears over 200, and 24 bears over 100.

2008 should be another great season with bear numbers climbing.
